On October 4, 1975, at 7:30 PM, the opening meeting of the location for the Evangelical Church of Valle de Hebrón took place. This marked the official start, even though the first unofficial meeting had been held earlier that year in the newly acquired building. Prior to that, in October 1974, the pioneering congregation had gathered in the home of the Valcárcel family, with members who had previously been part of the Gaiolà Street church. Among the founding members were Martín and Linda Valcárcel, Harold and Esther Kregel, and others. They began meeting, and a group of children, later known as "The Discoverers," were witnesses to the transformation of a garage space into a church.
The Hebron Valley Bible Church is soon to celebrate 50 years of God's unwavering faithfulness and provision, sustained through the dedication of many servants and committed believers. We praise God for His immutability, for He has remained the same despite the many shifts in both society and our congregation over the past half-century.
Our church today is a close knit community of believers who are committed to edify each other through love, patience and sound doctrine. A vital aspect of this fellowship is our tradition of sharing lunch every Sunday, which provides the opportunity to connect, share our burdens, encourage one another, and deepen our fellowship in Christ.
